Entries are taken in the Pro Shop (if open). Competitors write their names in the Entry Book. Payment can be made by electronic means in the Pro Shop or in cash.

If the Pro Shop is closed, enter at the table in the foyer, put the entry fee into an envelope and drop it into the Green Fee slot under the computer. If the Pro Shop is not open, you may pay by electronic means immediately after your round (provided you have entered in the book and on the computer), but failure to pay before the competition closes will result in disqualification. You will still be required to pay the entry fee afterwards, and failure to do so will result in your round being deleted for record purposes.

Electronically sign into the competition using the computer in the foyer or the Clubnet App where it is in use.

In the event of any issues with a competition entry, such as a request for a very early start, contact a member of the Men’s Club Committee to arrange.

The card is taken by the PLAYER. Enter the Competition Name, Date, Handicaps, course being played (Blue, White or Yellow) and your own name. Failure to enter all of the above information may lead to disqualification. The computer in the foyer (where it has been set up for the competition) will print a label with most, but not all, of the required information. Ultimately it is each player’s responsibility to ensure that all relevant information is on the card.

Cards must be exchanged and the MARKER fills in the player’s score along with his own score in the appropriate sections of the card. At the end of the round the marker signs his name in the appropriate section.

It is the player’s responsibility to review his score, sign the scorecard in the appropriate section, and enter the scores through the Computer or Clubnet App.

The card is then placed into the Scorecard Return Slot in the foyer. It is each player’s responsibility to return a correctly filled and signed card. All competition cards must be returned, regardless of score.

Sanctions may be imposed, at the discretion of the Men’s Committee, for No Return (NR) scorecards as outlined in the NR Policy Document.

The Men’s Committee will check scores after a competition ends. As the process now involves considerable time, results may not be available as quickly as usual. The Committee’s decision is final.

If the tying players have the same score, the winner will be determined based on the score for the last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes and finally the 18th hole. If there is still a tie, then the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn. If this process does not result in a winner, it will be decided by tossing a coin.

If the round is less than 18 holes the following applies:

• 15 hole competitions: last 6, 3, 1. If there is still a tie, the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn. If this does not result in a winner, it will be decided by tossing a coin.
• 14 hole competitions: last 5, 3, 1. If there is still a tie, the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn. If this does not result in a winner, it will be decided by tossing a coin.
• 9 hole competitions: last 6, 3, 1. If this does not result in a winner, it will be decided by tossing a coin.

If a competition uses multiple tee starts, the “last 9 holes”, “last 6 holes” etc. are holes 10–18, 13–18 etc.

For stroke competitions, if the last 9, 6, 3 holes method is used, one-half, one-third, one-sixth etc. of the handicaps will be deducted.

For stableford competitions, if the last 9, 6, 3 method is used, handicap strokes will be applied as they are applied for the competition.
